some footage of the back of an abandoned house just up the street from our place, with some insect-esque objects that i generated in processing composited over the top. it’s 99% complete but i think i’ll still soundtrack it and perhaps fix up a few minor bits and pieces, and hopefully have a crack at a soundtrack, too.
working again with using perlin noise for generating motion, sketch 15 draws straight lines - lots of straight lines.
perlin noise generates 2 pairs of xy coordinates, drawing a straight line between them with a very low alpha value (and pseudorandom colour values), producing beautiful results when the lines cross over each other. playing with the number of lines, colours, noise increments and the weighting of the noise (which direction the lines are more inclined to head in) vastly changes the outcome.

the ones tagged with HD on the playlist are 1280×720, so they’re a bit slower to load but look really nice in fullscreen mode…

another quick processing sketch, some 2d drawing stuff.
i was inspired by superdraw as a live visual tool based on (sort of) simple line drawings, and started having a play around. i’m yet to dive into 3D in processing, so the output is somewhat limited, but it’s a start, right?

i’ve been using processing again lately, and i’ve had a few decent outcomes. sketch 10b just spits out ellipses in different directions at different velocities according to a perlin noise algorithm. veeeeery simple stuff, but i’m just trying to remember how to do it all again…
